What Is This Job About?

DoiT International is an award-winning strategic partner of the three major hyperscalers — AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure — working alongside more than 4,000 customers worldwide to help them optimise, manage, and scale their cloud environments. DoiT Cloud Intelligence (DCI) is the company’s proprietary cloud management platform, designed to give engineering and finance teams deep visibility into their cloud spending, performance, and governance. It is a compelling, differentiated product in a market where cloud cost and complexity are growing concerns for virtually every technology-led business.

As a Sales Development Representative for DCI, your mission is straightforward: generate qualified pipeline by booking demos with the right decision-makers at the right companies. You will own the top of the funnel, working through outbound channels including email sequences, phone calls, and LinkedIn outreach to engage prospects and qualify them for handoff to Account Executives. You will collaborate closely with the regional field sales team, marketing, and cloud vendor partners to align your outreach with broader go-to-market initiatives and ensure a consistent, professional prospect experience.

This is a foundational role in the DCI sales motion, and the organisation is looking for someone who brings a startup-minded attitude — agile, eager to learn, and ready to evolve as the product and the team scale. You will build meaningful relationships internally across sales, marketing, and cloud vendor teams, and you will gain exposure to the cloud technology ecosystem that is shaping the way modern businesses operate.

Salary and What You Can Earn

Sales Development Representative compensation in the cloud technology and SaaS sector typically consists of a base salary plus variable commission tied to qualified meetings booked and pipeline generated. Based on current market benchmarks for SDR roles at companies of DoiT’s calibre and scope, the estimated base salary for this role is between $55,000 and $75,000 per year. With on-target commission earnings included, total OTE is estimated at between $80,000 and $100,000 annually for a representative who consistently meets their activity and pipeline targets.

Top-performing SDRs who exceed their metrics can earn meaningfully above OTE, and the skills, product knowledge, and relationships built in this role create a strong foundation for rapid progression into Account Executive, Account Manager, or Sales Engineer positions. DoiT’s global scale, cloud vendor partnerships, and customer base of 4,000-plus also means that strong performers gain exposure to enterprise-level sales cycles and international markets that are genuinely career-accelerating.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • You will conduct high-volume outbound prospecting through a combination of personalised email sequences, phone calls, and LinkedIn outreach to identify and engage qualified prospects in your assigned region.
  • You will research target accounts and individual prospects to personalise your outreach, ensuring that every touchpoint is relevant, credible, and tailored to the prospect’s specific cloud environment and business context.
  • You will qualify inbound and outbound leads through structured discovery conversations, assessing fit based on the prospect’s cloud usage, team structure, pain points, and readiness to evaluate DCI.
  • You will book qualified demos and meetings between prospects and Account Executives, providing a detailed handoff summary that ensures the AE can lead an informed and effective first conversation.
  • You will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect interactions, activities, and pipeline data in the company’s CRM system, ensuring full visibility for sales leadership and your AE partners.
  • You will collaborate with regional field sales teams to align outreach with territory strategy, account prioritisation, and active opportunities within the pipeline.
  • You will build strong working relationships with DoiT’s cloud vendor partner teams at AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure, leveraging those relationships to identify joint pipeline opportunities and referrals.
  • You will participate actively in sales team meetings, training sessions, and enablement programmes, continuously developing your cloud technology knowledge and consultative selling skills.
  • You will provide regular feedback to marketing and product teams on prospect responses, objection patterns, and competitive insights gathered through your outreach activity.

  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar tools for prospect management and pipeline tracking is beneficial.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with sales engagement and prospecting tools such as Outreach, SalesLoft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, or similar platforms.

As an award-winning strategic partner of AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure, DoiT works alongside more than 4,000 customers around the world to help them manage cloud complexity, optimise spending, and unlock the full potential of their cloud investment. The company operates at a genuinely global scale with a distributed, remote-first team that spans multiple continents and time zones.

It is a product born out of deep operational experience with cloud at scale, and it is backed by the relationships and technical expertise that only a company of DoiT’s standing can bring. Working at DoiT means working at the centre of the cloud ecosystem, with access to vendor relationships, customer breadth, and market intelligence that few organisations can match.

Why Remote Sales in Cloud Technology Is a Smart Career Move

The cloud computing market continues to grow at a remarkable pace, with global spending on cloud services expanding year on year as businesses of all sizes accelerate their digital transformation journeys. This creates sustained and growing demand for sales professionals who understand cloud technology and can help organisations navigate the complexity of multicloud environments. SDRs who develop genuine cloud fluency early in their careers are in an exceptionally strong position to advance quickly into account executive, solution selling, and enterprise sales leadership roles.

Remote sales roles in this sector also offer a rare combination of competitive earnings, genuine flexibility, and career mobility. The skills you build — prospecting discipline, cloud knowledge, CRM proficiency, and consultative communication — are transferable across virtually every segment of the technology industry, making this an excellent foundation for a long-term career in tech sales or cloud-adjacent roles.

How to Write a Strong Application

  • Show your cloud curiosity upfront: Even if you are new to the cloud industry, demonstrate in your cover letter that you have taken the time to understand what DoiT does, what DoiT Cloud Intelligence is, and why cloud cost management matters to modern businesses. This signals genuine interest, not just job seeking.
  • Quantify your outreach activity and results: If you have prior SDR experience, include metrics — number of calls per day, emails sent per week, demos booked per month, pipeline generated per quarter. Hiring managers in sales want to see that you are comfortable with targets and can hit them.
  • Demonstrate your communication skills through your application itself: A well-crafted, personalised cover letter that is concise, engaging, and free of errors is itself a demonstration of the writing and communication skills this role demands. Make it count.
  • Highlight any cloud or SaaS exposure: If you have worked at a cloud company, managed cloud accounts, used AWS or Google Cloud personally, or hold any cloud certifications, mention these. They are genuine differentiators in this specific hiring context.
  • Express your startup mindset authentically: DoiT is looking for someone who is agile and ready to grow with the team. Describe a situation where you had to adapt quickly, learn something new fast, or operate without a detailed playbook and still deliver results.
